Fratello: A Happy Ending

My writing desk named "Fratello" is a study in minimalist design but with some Carlino flair. The name is Italian for "brother" and was chosen for this piece because I consider it a brother to my Giancarlo desk. Giancarlo, however, met an unfortunate fate while being transported from storage recently, sustaining damage to many of its elements. Luckily, the drawer section showed minimal damage, easily repaired with some sanding and re-staining. Instead of rebuilding Giancarlo from the ground up, I opted to create a new piece in Fratello. I hope everyone will consider it a happy ending to what I consider to be a somewhat catastrophic story. Crafted from solid White Ash. The drawer unit is supported by cylindrical stainless steel legs that add to the distinctly modern appearance. Dimensions of desk: 52" wide by 23" deep by 30.5" high. Drawer unit: 23.75" wide by 21.75" deep by 17.5" high. Price as shown: $2,500.
